Mayor Danise “DeeDee” Henriquez and the Key West City Commission have designated October as Christian Heritage Month, acknowledging the profound history and influence of the Christian faith on our nation and community.
The proclamation states, “Christian principles have significantly shaped the values of faith, love, justice, family, and service, which continue to strengthen the fabric of our island community.”
Key West hosts numerous churches, ministries, and faith-based organizations that have supported the well-being of our residents through prayer, ministry, education, charitable service, disaster relief, and community building.
The proclamation shown below highlights that this recognition offers a chance to reflect on the spiritual foundations that have motivated countless individuals and families to lead lives of faith, service, and integrity.
